2014 Men’s League Notice

 2014 Men’s Club League Rules

Weekly Format:
5:30 Shotgun start. Or set up a time with opponents to compete, if the 530 start does not work for you that week. Two-man, Net best ball, Match play.  A total of nine points are available per match; each hole is worth 1 point.  If you tie on a hole, each team will receive ½ point. Round Robin determines the matches for the season. The weekly standings, contact info for opponents and weekly matches will be listed on the Mens league portion of the website.

Each team will accumulate points throughout the season.  The top percentage teams will make the playoffs… Subs are not allowed during the playoffs.

The men’s club has its’ own handicapping system.  Handicaps are based on your last 10 rounds played in men’s league…including Men’s Club Events, and your Ghin. Your average score over par, less 90% will be calculated for your handicap.  Example:  Average score over par 8.8.    90% of 8.8 = 7.92   Handicap = 8.  You may use your ghin scores as an extra option until you have 2 scores posted for your league handicap.  Double bogey is the highest score you can make for handicap purposes only.  If everyone in the group is slashing it around on a hole, keep playing for the win.

If there is someone in the group without a handicap, record your scores on the card and the golf shop will figure out the match following your round.  We need to have everyone play at least 1 men’s club round in the first two weeks of league.

No Show:
Your team must have at least 1 player show up for league each week.  Subs will always be available if you need another player.  If your entire team can’t make it, you will receive 0 points for that week.  The team you were scheduled to play against will play against the course and are guaranteed a minimum of 4 ½ points.

Weekly Game:
Every week we will have gross skins, and a closest to the pin game.  The game is $5.00 per player and payable at the registration table.  Closest to the pin is paid in shop credit and the skins are paid out in cash.

Hello All,

I wanted to keep you updated as we’re approaching season. We are trying for April 19th as CMGC’s opening date.  This is a tentative date and we need the weather to cooperate with us to make this happen. I will update as I know more.

The drainage put into the bunkers last season really made a difference! They’re almost playable now!!!

Thanks for reading and come on summer weather!
